We are doing our best to improve the work of the Russian consular office in Tiraspol - the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR

According to Vitaly Ignatiev, various options are being considered

Tiraspol, March 28. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. One of the priorities for Pridnestrovie in bilateral contacts with Russia is the normalization of the consular office`s work in Tiraspol. There is a number of problems, including certain difficulties that Moldova creates for Russian diplomats.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev spoke about this in an interview with Radio 1.

He recalled that issues related to the work of the consular office have been discussed at a recent meeting with a representative delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

“Taking into account all the circumstances, we have explored every option, perhaps even a creative one, so that our citizens could properly make an appointment, submit documents and receive their documents on time. Unfortunately, I cannot disclose the details, precisely because there are forces interested in blocking this form of work,” the Head of the PMR Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

He assured that Pridnestrovie, for its part, "is doing its best" to improve the work of the consular office. “We will persistently continue to keep our Russian colleagues on their toes so that we have fewer problems in this area,” the Minister stressed.
