Tiraspol, February 22. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The "law on separatism", signed by the President of Moldova Maia Sandu on February 16, comes into force on March 18.
This follows from the text of the law published in Russian in the Official Monitor of the Republic of Moldova on February 18. According to the law of the Republic of Moldova on normative acts, laws come into force one month after their official publication.
Recall that the “law on separatism” is an amendment to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Moldova, introducing into it such articles as: “separatism”, “conspiracy against Moldova”, “creation of an illegal information structure”. Depending on qualifications, they provide for imprisonment for up to 12 years or large fines. During the preliminary hearings on this law, representatives of the Moldovan special services did not hide the fact that it would be directed against Pridnestrovie.
