The PMR President met with the Head of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova. Vadim Krasnoselsky and Kelly Keiderling discussed relations between Tiraspol and Chisinau. Negotiations are currently frozen for various reasons. The parties need a platform for communication now, the PMR President considers.
“I still come to the conclusion that it is possible to continue the meetings of the “Permanent Conference” of the “5 + 2” format if the desire exists. In any case, if official meetings cannot be held, unofficial meetings and consultations can be held,” said Vadim Krasnoselsky.
According to the President, the problem that has been created in the energy supplies between Pridnestrovie and Moldova "poisons the desire to move forward". “I would very much like the OSCE mission to go deep into energy supplies and contribute by its influence on the resolution of certain issues by and large,” the PMR President noted.
Any dispute must be resolved through compromise. Much depends on the representatives of Chisinau in this case. “Moldovan counterparts, Moldovan officials with whom I spoke and others with whom I did not communicate do not behave quite correctly at least. Everything is very simple, if you have reached an agreement – deliver what you promised. If you signed it, you should implement it, and not to look for excuses not to fulfill certain agreements already signed earlier,” the PMR President said.
The situation in the energy sector has made the atmosphere very tense, Vadim Krasnoselsky considers. The PMR President drew special attention of the OSCE representatives to the illegality of Moldova's actions to withdraw part of the natural gas for Pridnestrovie.
