Tiraspol, July 19. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Foreign Ministry of Pridnestrovie hosted a meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Stetsyuk and representatives of the Danish Refugee Council Katherine Gosby, Marianna Pateraki, and Tanya Marcello.
The foreign delegation plans to identify the Ukrainian refugees' humanitarian requirements and determine the degree of support that the organization can provide.
Alexander Stetsyuk spoke about the refugee support system in Pridnestrovie, temporary accommodation centers operating in the republic, the directions of assistance provided, and its grant nature for citizens who arrived from Ukraine.
The Deputy Minister focused on the Law adopted in the republic “On measures of state support for foreign citizens and stateless persons arriving from the territory of Ukraine and temporarily staying on the territory of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” and on the set of measures of state support for refugees regulated by this document in the field of employment relations, social protection and education.
The Danish delegation was informed about the existing experience of the Pridnestrovie interaction with the International Committee of the Red Cross and specialized agencies of the United Nations on refugee issues.
At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors agreed to maintain communication on topical humanitarian issues.
