Vadim Krasnoselsky, on a memorable and tragic day for the people of Dubossary and all Pridnestrovians, visited the facility known as the "Meteorological station-dam of the Dubossary hydroelectric power station" fortified sector. Members of the crew of the armored personnel carrier 70, the fighters of the Republican Guard, who decided to break through under the incessant shelling of the enemy in his position, were killed in order to help the intelligence officers who were in an ambush on May 20, 1992, during its defense. The crossfire destroyed the armored personnel carrier and its crew: senior lieutenant Anatoly Zimanov, lieutenant Fedor Chernavsky, privates Sergey Digoran and Dorel Paireli were killed. Guardsmen Yuriy Boytsov, Alexander Voloshenko, Cossacks Alexander Pogrebnichenko, Sergey Krotov and Alexander Kralev, militiamen Sergey Agatiev, Alexey Mititel, Grigory Bragarchuk and Igor Yatsenko did not spare their lives, trying to help their comrades. The names of the defenders are carved on a commemorative plate, to which the PMR President lowered flowers. The beats of the metronome counted a minute of silence in memory of those whose hearts stopped for the sake of the lives of fellow countrymen and descendants, in the name of peace in the Pridnestrovian land.
