Tiraspol, April 27. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Another 10 explosive devices were found and disposed of in the village of Mayak. This was announced by the Investigative Committee of the PMR on its official website.
PMR Chief Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the grounds of the elements of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 203 of the Criminal Code of the PMR (terrorist act) relating to two explosions that damaged the antennas of a large broadcasting center in the village of Mayak, Grigoriopol District.
“According to preliminary information, on the night of April 26, 2022, a group of unidentified men entered OJSC PRTC Mayak territory in the village of Mayak, Grigoriopol District. There, to violate public safety, intimidate the population, and cause significant material damage, several mines and plastic explosive were laid. In the morning at 6:40 and 7:05 on April 26, 2022, two objects were blown up,” the agency’s official website says.
No one was injured as a result of the terrorist act. The radio transmitter was critically damaged.
“When inspecting the scene, specialists discovered and disposed often more explosive devices,” the message on the Investigative Committee website says.
Due to the complexity of the investigation and the large volume of investigative actions to be performed, the investigation of the criminal case was entrusted to a group of investigators. Within the framework of criminal cases, the PMR Investigative Committee identifies persons involved in these and other similar crimes. Several special expert examinations have also been scheduled.
