A peace agreement should be signed by Moldova and Pridnestrovie

The PMR Foreign Affairs Minister Vitaly Ignatiev stated that it’s necessary to guarantee mutual non-aggression

Tiraspol, April 27/ Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The counterproductive war waged by the Moldovan authorities against history and common sense, as well as the chosen course for rapprochement with the EU and NATO, is evidence that Moldova and Pridnestrovie have different paths. This was stated by the PMR Foreign Affairs Minister Vitaly Ignatiev in an interview with the Interfax news agency.

“I strongly believe that today we’re in such a situation where the Moldovan leadership should demonstrate wisdom, an adequate approach to current realities, realize these realities, join in the negotiations with the Pridnestrovian leadership and sign a final comprehensive peace treaty which guaranteed a mutual non-aggression. I think we should put an end to this and end this conflict,” Vitaly Ignatiev stressed.

The Foreign Ministry head noted that Moldova created de facto legislative mandates for the existence of an independent Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic while the point of no return was passed on September 17, of the year of 2006, when PMR citizens voted in a referendum to establish an independent state.
