The state of affairs in the towns and districts of the republic was discussed in the course of the meeting under the President with participation of the Heads of legislative and executive branches of power, as well as the heads of state administrations. Current instructions were given, including those related to the provision of assistance to citizens arriving in Pridnestrovie from neighboring states. They discussed the implementation of the Pridnestrovian state development programs in the new conditions. Many activities had to be suspended. Nevertheless, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that life in the country goes on, urging to find an opportunity to update the infrastructure of settlements under the existing circumstances. It was said that the current situation confirms the need to focus on domestic production. The President recalled that for several years he had pointed out the expediency of switching to such types of road repair, which are least dependent on imports, for example. We are talking about concreting and paving with paving slabs of domestic production. Both options involve the use of local raw materials and materials. Today they discussed which sites can get into this program. Plans, schedules and limits are being reviewed. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that there is a lot of work in this direction. It is important that its implementation will make it possible to employ a significant number of citizens. Labor hands will be in demand both in road works and in the production of paving slabs and other materials.
The PMR President focused on the topic of the upcoming spring holidays - Easter, memorial days, May Day and Victory Day. Vadim Krasnoselsky instructed to organize cleaning activities on the territory of cemeteries, recommending not neglecting the practice of public work days. On the 9th of May the Victory Parade will definitely take place. If the epidemiological situation is no worse than the current one, then there is a high probability of holding the Immortal Regiment nationwide campaign, which had to be abandoned in recent years due to quarantine restrictions.
