Tiraspol, December 12. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The elections of the President of the PMR are being held in Pridnestrovie, today. The current head of state Vadim Krasnoselsky spoke with Semen Pegov, a Russian journalist and author of the @wargonzo Telegram channel. The PMR President said that the voting was going well, despite Moldova's calls to boycott the elections.
“I have an extremely negative attitude towards those who do not respect the people`s choice. When elections were held on the right bank, in the Republic of Moldova, we did not oppose the choice of Moldovan citizens living in Pridnestrovie. We set about to create the conditions for the people to go and vote. Unfortunately, [there is no] this political will, these democratic values ... are probably absent from those who counteract [voting in the PMR]. Nevertheless, the elections will take place, and those international observers who are present here will confirm this,” Vadim Krasnoselsky said.
