Pridnestrovian Ombudsman held meeting with PACE representatives

The main focus was on the issues of human rights observance

Tiraspol, October 20 /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Commissioner for Human Rights in the PMR Vyacheslav Kosinsky held a meeting with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Europe Council (PACE) for Moldova co-rapporteurs Pierre-Alain Fridez and with Inese Libina-Egnere. The meeting was also attended by the PACE monitoring committee secretary Sylvia Affholder and the head of the Europe Council mission to Moldova William Massolin. Everybody of them was in Pridnestrovie on a working visit last week.

The main conversation themes were issues of the Pridnestrovian citizens’ rights observance. The European guests were also interested in what problems citizens are addressing to the Ombudsman and how the situation with the citizens’ rights observance has changed over the past few years.

Additionally, the embargo on the Pridnestrovian vehicles entry and movement on the Ukrainian territory, introduced on September 1, was also discussed by foreign guests.
