Tiraspol, September 15 /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. According to this year first eight months results, an increasing in exports for key commodity items is observed in Pridnestrovie.
As the PMR Deputy Prime Minister and the Economic Development Minister Sergei Obolonik declared on the Coordinating Council meeting for minimizing financial as well as economic losses of enterprises and the population in connection with the COVID-19 extension, the electricity export in the January-August period increased by 7.7% to 109 million dollars. At the same time, the growth in August compared to July was by 10%.
Additionally, in comparison with the year of 2020 indicators, the supplies volume in the metallurgy has doubled.
Taking into account the good grain harvest, the wheat exports volume about 21.2 million dollars was by 2.4 times higher than the eight months level of the previous year.
“Generally, indicators as well as export activities’ parameters are at enough positive and high level,” Sergei Obolonik noted.
Pridnestrovian imports are also showing an increasing. The raw materials volume for ferrous metallurgy was imported into the republic almost 2.6 times more than in the first eight months of the year of 2020.
