Tiraspol, May 09. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky in the mass media interview commented on attempts to rewrite the history of the World War II.
The head of state is deeply convinced that each attempt to desecrate the Soviet people’s heroic achievement, to neutralize their contribution to the victory over fascism could be disastrous.
According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, “Currently they want to steal the Russia’s as well as the Russian people’s victory, to desecrate all their heroic achievements and it will make for misery. History is cyclical, that’s why all falsehood could lead to a real full-scale disaster.”
Thousands of Pridnestrovians are involved in the outstanding events dedicated to the 76th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the head of state noted.
“The date of 9 May is a holiday that truly close up people of different nationalities as well as religions and views,” the PMR President noted.
“Our people perished while liberating Europe. That’s why we should be grateful for the victorious people’s feat. For someone this’s maybe the bitter, but truth. This’s a real happiness and memory for everyone, who today visits Memorials of Glory throughout our republic. Memory is our duty,” Vadim Krasnoselsky summed up.
