More than 1,600 agricultural enterprises and peasant farms received humanitarian aid from the Russian Federation

These are farmers whose crops and perennial plantations were affected by last year's drought

Tiraspol, March 23. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. 1,649 agricultural enterprises and peasant farms (PF) of the republic, whose crops and perennial plantations were most affected by last year's drought, received humanitarian aid from the Russian Federation. Oleg Diligul, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the PMR, told this Novosti Pridnestrovya News Agency.

Recall that the PMR received humanitarian aid in the amount of 90 million Russian rubles from the Russian Federation at the beginning of this year. Aid is targeted and free of charge.

Oleg Diligul noted that the territorial divisions of the Ministry of Agriculture have done a great job of receiving and considering applications from agricultural producers. As a result, 17.4 million rubles of PMR (90 rubles per hectare) were distributed among enterprises and peasant farms. The rest of the funds, according to the first Deputy Minister, will be allocated to support other areas of the agro-industrial complex.

The funds of the Russian humanitarian aid will be allocated to the agrarians for accomplishing spring field work.

Last year, over 60 thousand hectares of winter crops and 40 thousand hectares of spring crops were affected by a severe drought in the PMR.
