Tiraspol, March 19. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev met with a member of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights, Director of the Moscow Bureau for Human Rights, Alexander Brod in Moscow. The meeting took place at the site of the PMR Official Representation in Russia.
The interlocutors discussed the situation in the field of ensuring the rights and interests of the Pridnestrovian population. The PMR Foreign Minister told the Russian human rights defender about the existing problems that hinder the normal life of the citizens of the republic, which are associated with the continuing unresolved Moldovan-Pridnestrovian conflict, as well as numerous restrictive measures by the Republic of Moldova. In this context, the diplomat presented a number of Pridnestrovian practical proposals aimed at improving the situation in this area, the press service of the Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry said.
In turn, Alexander Brod confirmed the Russian side`s readiness to assist in organizing systematic work to protect the rights and freedoms of Russian citizens and Russian compatriots living in Pridnestrovie.
At the end of the working discussion, its participants agreed to continue the dialogue on a wide range of topical areas of bilateral cooperation.
