Tiraspol, January 25. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University and Southern Federal University (Rostov-on-Don, Russia) are planning on developing cooperation at the educational and creative projects’ level. Corresponding issues were discussed during the online meeting of universities’ leadership, the PSU’s website reports.
A cooperation agreement between PSU and SFedU was signed in the year of 2008. According to the Rossotrudnichestvo program coordinator in PMR, Nikolay Zhuravlev, during this time both universities have changed significantly, have grown not only in their scale, but also in the scientific and youth activities level. That’s why the developing cooperation issue continues to be relevant.

Besides, the preparation of Pridnestrovian post-graduate students within the scope of the agreement maintenance between universities was discussed. Nikolay Zhuravlev reminded, that from January 20 to February 20, the Rossotrudnichestvo quota selection is taking place. It allows post-graduate students from PMR to take an active part in it and affords opportunity to study at Russian universities.
During the meeting, the youth cooperation was also discussed. The Rossotrudnichestvo coordinator quoted an instance of PSU experience in this matter and the Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistics University. The universities common project received a grant from the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh).
“I’m really satisfied with today’s meeting, because it’s very informative. We are discussing specific decisions, which unambiguously will give a fresh impetus to our arrangements and implement specific steps, that will strengthen our universities collaboration,” Evgeniy Mukhanov, a SFedU Vice-Rector for Project and Innovation Activities with International Cooperation noted.
The Pridnestrovian State University rector Stepan Beril expressed his hope for universities close collaboration.
“We have high hopes for hand-in-glove work, constructive cooperation and development. Personally I derive inspiration from what I heard today”, Stepan Beril stressed.
