Tiraspol, December 23. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. On a previous day the PMR Supreme Council Delegation and the Tiraspol city council, during their visit to Moscow held meetings in the Russian State Duma. Pridnestrovian deputies Alexander Korshunov, Ruslan Gareev and Vadim Dony met with Russian parliamentarians, who represent all factions in the Russian Federation State Duma.
According to the press service of the Supreme Council, during the meetings, issues of the expansion of inter-parliamentary collaboration, compatriots’ supporting, the possibility for Pridnestrovians to obtain the simplified Russian citizenship, providing the health care assistance, assistance in solving problems caused by the pandemic, supporting the real sector of the economy due to drought and many others were raised.
Pridnestrovian deputies had a constructive conversation on the issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation with the Head of the Committee on Social Policy and Labor Yaroslav Nilov and with Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Leonid Kalashnikov.
At a meeting with Alexander Korshunov, the head of the United Russia faction, Sergey Neverov, expressed the hope, that a systematic inter-parliamentary dialogue would allow to outline and confirm the course schedule and combined action program of providing support and assistance not only to the Pridnestrovian citizens, but also the republic as a whole, for a short-term and long-term outlook.
Sergey Neverov proposed projects and specific programs of cooperation both through the parliaments and faction, and through the party line. Intentions regarding extending the Agreement on strengthening cooperation between the All-Russian party “United Russia” and the Pridnestrovian party “Obnovlenie” and conforming a number of political projects on the territory of Pridnestrovie were expressed.
At a meeting with “A Just Russia” faction leadership, the deputies expressed their desiderates on the necessity for consolidated efforts of all the Russian Federation State Duma factions and deputies in supporting Pridnestrovie and developing of appropriate legal instruments and regulations, that would allow to work consistently.
For a special benevolence towards the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, for help and enhancing cooperation between the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the Supreme Council of the PMR, Leonid Kalashnikov and Sergey Neverov received the highest awards of the Pridnestrovian parliament, “For contribution to parliamentarianism.” Awards were presented by Alexander Korshunov.
The Russian Federation State Duma deputies, representing the interests of Pridnestrovians, Sergey Chizhov and Alexander Yaroshuk, were awarded the Orders of Friendship.
