Tiraspol, December 9. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The PMR Government signed a cooperation agreement with the Bryansk Region. The document was signed by PMR Prime-Minister Alexander Martynov and the head of the Bryansk Region of the Russian Federation Alexander Bogomaz. The signing ceremony took place online, the Government website reports.
The agreement implies interaction in several directions: trade and economic, scientific and technical, social and humanitarian.
Cooperation between Pridnestrovie and the Russian Federation has been established for a long time and in various directions. This interaction has strategic importance for the republic, the Prime Minister noted during the dialogue.
“Joint work has been set up in very different areas: in the economy and the social spheres. You know that the Russian Federation carries out a peacekeeping mission on the territory of the republic, and doing it very successfully: no blood has been shed during the peacekeeping mission. And we are very grateful to both the Russian leadership and the people for this support,” Alexander Martynov said.
The Prime Minister also spoke about the investment legislation developed several years ago. Pridnestrovian specialists were assisted in its development by Russian experts. This is another area of interdepartmental interaction between the countries. Investment legislation is working. There are an increasing number of new investors in the industrial sector and agriculture coming to the republic. When the pandemic goes down, the Pridnestrovian experts will tell their Bryansk colleagues about the work of the law, the head of the executive power assured.
“For us, Russian investors are priority and strategic ones. We are interested in Russian companies coming here, creating jobs, and contributing to GDP growth,” the Prime Minister stressed.
In turn, the head of the Bryansk Region spoke about the main directions of the region development: industry and agriculture. He also outlined cooperation with Pridnestrovie in the area of agriculture. For example, last year, the head of the PMR Ministry of Agriculture, Efimiy Koval visited the region, where he took part in the Slavic International Economic Forum. The Pridnestrovian delegation was also a participant of the Svenskaya Yarmarka.

“An agreement was signed, and it works between our Agricultural University and Pridnestrovian Agricultural College, which specialists are doing a lot of work today. Today's agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and humanitarian cooperation will also be effective. It is important for us to share our experience, to create conditions for improving our citizens and residents` lives,” Alexander Bogomaz said.
Among the potential areas of cooperation is public administration. It should be recalled that several years ago the Government had actively cooperated with Russian specialists in the field of audit. Therefore, the practical concerns are also of interest.
The document opens up opportunities to start cooperation in the field of education and medicine.
“Time is moving forward, while more modern technologies are used in the regions in terms of education, medical care, and management of these industries. And we would be interested in our teachers and doctors visiting the Bryansk Region and getting acquainted with the best practices that you have. And we also welcome you to visit us. We have something to share too,” Alexander Martynov said.
The Prime Minister recalled that Rospotrebnadzor specialists visited the republic in the spring of this year by agreement with the Russian State Duma Deputy Gennady Onishchenko. They not only helped to fight with the pandemic, but also noted that “there was a positive experience in the fight against coronavirus in Pridnestrovie.”
