A group of Russian deputies and representatives of the apparatus of the State Duma and the Federation Council of the Russian Federation are on a working visit to Pridnestrovie. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky held a meeting with the delegation today. The meeting took place in the House of Official Receptions in the tea-drinking format. Representatives of the PMR Supreme Council - Alexander Korshunov, Galina Antyufeyeva and Mikhail Burla took part in the discussion. The Russian side was represented by members of various Duma committees - on regional policy and problems of the North and the Far East, on CIS affairs, Eurasian integration and relations with compatriots, as well as the committees of the Federation Council on federal structure, regional policy, local self-government and North affairs, on defense and security, international affairs. The Russian delegation includes representatives of Rossotrudnichestvo.
The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues of the Pridnestrovian-Russian interaction. They talked about the upcoming Single Voting Day, which will be held in Pridnestrovie tomorrow. They noted the high turnout in elections, traditional for Pridnestrovians, as well as the fact that this year the pandemic may negatively affect this indicator. Protective measures taken to ensure the safest possible participation of the citizens of Pridnestrovie in the voting were discussed. They talked about the history and significance of parliamentarism for the Pridnestrovian statehood. The upcoming 30th anniversary of the PMR Supreme Council was mentioned. The legislature will mark it tomorrow. Members of the Russian delegation received an invitation to the meeting that will be organized on Monday at the parliamentary site. Another date that has not been ignored is the 19th anniversary of United Russia, which the party members will celebrate on December 1. Russian deputies said that in their work schedule the next week is designated as a regional one, that is, they will work. When interacting with the "Obnovlenie" (Renewal) Pridnestrovian faction, they plan to organize communication with voters on the territory of Pridnestrovie.
The pandemic was discussed. They talked about peculiarities of confronting it in Pridnestrovie. They discussed the situation as a whole. The guests reported that they had brought 20000 protective masks to the republic. It is planned to deliver another 50000 means of individual protection as a support measure for compatriots.
Speaking about compatriots, the interlocutors drew attention to the fact that such people are not only Pridnestrovians who have a Russian passport, but also everyone who voted for independence and rapprochement with Russia in the referendum (these are 97% of the voting participants).
The participants of the meeting discussed issues of foreign policy, economics, and humanitarian cooperation. They talked about the work of the Official Representative Office of Pridnestrovie in Moscow. The celebration of the most important dates of the outgoing year - the 30th anniversary of the PMR and the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory was discussed.
The interlocutors exchanged memorable gifts. Russian guests were presented with two-volume editions of the "Golden Collection of the Best Places of Pridnestrovie". The participants of the meeting expressed the hope that they will have the opportunity to get to know better the history, culture, traditions, nature and, most importantly, the people of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
