Tiraspol, November 24. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. At the meeting of the Coordination Council for Economics, discussion was held on the state of affairs in the industries. The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development Sergey Obolonik noted, that November indicators remained at the September level, the Government website reports.
The ferrous metallurgy, light and food industries have achieved record results over the past seven months. The Moldavian Metallurgical Plant and the Winery & Distillery KVINT showed good results, Sergey Obolonik said.
The rise of light industry is recorded thank to one of the largest enterprises in the republic. Others, however, whose market is in Europe, are experiencing difficulties due to the European lockdown.
The indicators of the building materials industry and the food industry also decreased by 10% and 16.5%, respectively. The decrease in the export of agricultural products was due to the restrictive measures for the export of wheat, barley and corn from the republic.
“Since July, in order to protect the Pridnestrovian food market, dispatches haven’t been allowed on these three items, since the harvest is small and high risks of insecurity remain. Now according to the results of the harvest we will clarify. In particular, the export of up to 20 000 tons of corn may be allowed, but the situation for wheat is worse: superior limit of 1.5 tons will be dispatched,” Sergey Obolonik said.
