Tiraspol, November 19. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. 9 musical groups from Pridnestrovie were among the winners of the International Festival-Competition of folk choral singing named after V.I. Izhevski «Над Собом пiсня дзвiнко лине». Another 8 ensembles became the competition winners.
According to the State Service for Culture and Historical Heritage of the PMR, the event was held online from 17 to 19 September in the Ilyintsy town, Vinnitsa’s region of Ukraine. The participants of the competition had to present two different choral pieces, one of which was A`capella.
- The groups competed in four categories of folk and academic singing: duets, quartets, family trios and large stage groups (ensembles and choirs).
- The skills of the participants were assessed by an international jury, which included cultural figures from Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Moldova and Slovenia. The commission worked online.
- According to the results of the competition, Pridnestrovian groups became the holder of the second and third prizes. The second place was awarded to:
- The amateur folk group of the Ukrainian popular song «Стожары» of the Grigoriopol House of Culture;
- The folk ensemble of the Ukrainian song «Хуторянка» of the House of Culture in the Blizhny Khutor village of Slobodzeya region;
- The folk vocal group «Черемушка» of the House of Culture in the Katerinovka village of Kamensky region;
- The exemplary vocal group «Калинонька» of the municipal institution “Cultural centre named after P. Tkachenko” in Bendery.
The third prize winners were: - Honored vocal group of the Ukrainian song «Хрустовчанка» of the House of Culture in the Khrustovaya village of Kamensky region;
- The folk vocal group «Бирюза» of the House of Culture in the Mayak village of Grigoriopol region;
- The amateur folk group «Барвiнок» the municipal institution “Rybnitsa Cultural centre” in the town of Rybnitsa;
- The folk vocal group «Казачьи сердца» of the Slobodzeya House of Culture;
- The folk ensemble of the Cossack song «Червона стрiчка» of the District House of Culture of the Centralized Club System in Dubossary town.
Besides of Pridnestrovians, participants from Austria, Belarus, Lithuania, Moldova and Ukraine presented their skills in the competition.
