Rybnitsa Region, November, 14. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The rehabilitation of the Dniester near the village of Zozulyany in the Rybnitsa Region is currently being carried out by the Rybnitsa river port. Funds have been allocated from the Environmental Fund. The river bank is cleaned to remove reeds.
According to the fishermen, the overgrown reeds not only prevent boats from getting in the water, but also interfere with gazing upon natural beauty.
“Hydro-technical shore cleaning works are being carried out, as a result of which there will be established a kind of mooring line. Residents of the villages of Zozulyany, Popenki, nearby settlements will have the opportunity to get their boats in the water,” Deputy of the Supreme Council Valentin Matveychuk said in an interview with the First Pridnestrovian TV Channel.
The mooring line will be built not far from the unique rotunda church, erected in 1845. According to experts, this will be a step towards tourism development in the region.
“The mooring line will be within 16-20 meters wide and about 2 meters deep. I hope that that will make it possible to use this approach to the shore for at least 10-15 years,” Viktor Mauer, Head of the Administration of Popenki and Zozulyany villages said.
By the way, the temple in Zozulyany is dedicated to Paraskeva of Serbia, and religious services are performed here even today. Several years ago, there began the restoration of the rotunda. Fragments with double cross symbols were found in the masonry, which they decided to keep. Read about their possible meaning in the article Sign of a Secret Order or the World Tree?
