This tests detect coronavirus antigen and they are the best tool of urgent diagnosis of COVID-19. The result is ready in 15 minutes. The reliability of the result is equating with PCR-analysis. The antigen test is four times cheaper and much faster.
A tool for urgent diagnostics of coronavirus appeared in Pridnestrovie thanks to an agreement between the head of the Operations Headquarters and representatives of an American company in Chisinau. The analyzers were delivered to the republic free of charge, and the tests were purchased by the PMR Ministry of Health.
According to health workers, today they are more relevant than ever. The number of cases is growing every day. Late autumn is the time not only for coronavirus, but also for influenza, acute respiratory diseases and acute respiratory viral infections. An antigen test will help differentiate diseases, determine the diagnosis and begin treatment of patients in a timely manner.
Only the first batch arrived in Pridnestrovie. A total of 30,000 antigen tests will be purchased.
In the coming days, enzyme immunoenzymometric chromatographs and antigen tests will be distributed among treatment facilities of the republic.
