Tiraspol, November 10. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Supreme Council began work on the budget for the next year. The draft Law is now being considered by parliamentary committees. Recall that the parameters of the draft budget 2021 were discussed previous day during the online meeting of the First Deputy Prime Minister, Finance Minister Tatyana Kirova with representatives of the deputy corps.
“We set ourselves the objective of considering and adopting a budget balanced in terms of socially protected items, so that pensions and salaries of public sector employees will be paid in full and on time next year. There are proposals for some indexation of pensions and salaries in the bill. Certain small financial resources have been allocated for this. But since when and by what amount the increase will take effect, will be discussed at the second and third readings,” Alexander Korshunov, Deputy of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance said.
Within the framework of the draft Law "On the Republican Budget", state programs are also being considered, in particular in the field of health care: oncology, HIV prevention, and tuberculosis treatment. Their implementation will continue next year, according to the press service of the Supreme Soviet.
“We are well aware that regardless of the pandemic, it is necessary to provide treatment in other areas. Traditionally, there are funds in the budget for programs for the road industry development, and for ecological direction. The draft budget includes a small amount on the program implementation for the purchase of housing for young families. We believe that this program should start working in 2021,” Alexander Korshunov stressed.
Recall: the implementation of the program was suspended in 2020 due to the pandemic.
The budget for the next year includes funds for the implementation of the Capital Investment Fund program.
“This fund, like the road fund, has been reduced in volume due to additional budget expenditures in the health sector and in terms of social obligations. The committees will work out the draft Law, and I think that on November 25, the plenary session will consider the draft Law “On the Republican Budget 2021” in the first reading,” the Deputy noted.
