The State Customs Committee (SCC): Since 2021, entrepreneurs will be able to pay customs duties in cashless settlement

Now the department is developing a mechanism for the transition to modern banking information technologies

Tiraspol, October 29. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. From 2021, Pridnestrovian entrepreneurs will be able to pay customs duties in cashless settlement. Under this system, small business has been working all over the world for a long time, is reported on the official website of the SCC of the PMR.

Pridnestrovie also has the practice of accepting customs payments using bank terminals, which are installed for the convenience of physical persons at customs and at checkpoints with significant turnover.

The specialists of the SCC note the advantages of the cashless settlement of customs payments. Firstly, the time for customs operations will be reduced. Secondly, errors are minimized, when entering bank details and other information required to identify the payer and payments. In the future, it will be possible to combine electronic declaration with the technology of remote payment of customs duties.

“As a result, pre-requirements will be created for the using the technology of automatic output of products without the participation of an official of the customs authority. That is, the idea of electronic customs will be implemented in practice in Pridnestrovie,” the press release notes.

The State Customs Committee plans to reform the procedure of paying for customs operations gradually. Now the department is developing a mechanism for the transition to modern banking information technologies. And in the near future, individual entrepreneurs will be informed about what is necessary to register with customs and formalize personal accounts.
