Tiraspol, October 7. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Supreme Council of the PMR adopted a statement on the situation in the Nagorny Karabakh conflict zone. We present the text of the document without changes.

“The Supreme Council of the PMR expresses its extreme concern in connection with the continuing escalation of violence around the Republic of Artsakh. Over the days since the beginning of the conflict, hostilities have become a full-scale war and already led to numerous casualties and destruction.

The Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic strongly condemns the use of military force against the civilian population and strikes against civilian infrastructure.

Attempts to resolve the Nagorny Karabakh conflict through military means are criminal. Their price is human lives and crippled fates of people. Political leaders professing such a revanchist ideology should be aware of the full extent of responsibility both to the Armenian people and to the international community.

The Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic declares the need for an immediate ceasefire, as well as that there is no alternative to a peaceful political settlement of the conflict at the negotiating table.

The Deputies of the Pridnestrovian Supreme Council call to stop the bloodshed and bring peace and tranquility back to the land of Artsakh."
