Dnestrovsk, October, 2. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Valentin Trubchanin was appointed General Director of CJSC Moldavskaya GRES. The powers of the former General Director of the enterprise, Alexey Shirma, were terminated due to the expiration of the contract, according to a press release from MGRES.
Valentin Trubchanin was born in 1972 in Moscow. He graduated from the Cherepovets Military University of Radio Electronics and the St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University. He holds an MBA from Northumbria University, UK.
He has wide-ranging experience in the energy sector and management of large enterprises, as well as experience in public administration. He had been in charge of energy production at JSC Severstal for over 9 years.
From 2011 to 2018, he headed the Ulyanovsk branch of Volzhskaya TGC OJSC - the largest producer of electrical and thermal energy in the Samara, Saratov and Ulyanovsk regions.
He has gratitude from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.
“Under the leadership of Valentin Trubchanin, CJSC Moldavskaya GRES will continue to provide reliable and uninterrupted power supply to consumers on the domestic market, and export electricity, as well as pay great attention to modernization and increase the station equipment efficiency and reduce operating costs,” the press release says.
CJSC Moldavskaya GRES is located in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic on the western bank of Kuchurgan estuary. The installed capacity of the power plant is 2520 MW. GRES operates on three types of fuel: coal, gas and fuel oil. The first stage of the Moldavskaya GRES was put into operation in 1964.
The power plant consists of 12 power units. CJSC Moldavskaya GRES is 100% owned by the Inter RAO Group.
