Tiraspol, June 12. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. At the PMR Foreign Ministry there was held a meeting of Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev and the Head of the Official Representation of the Republic of South Ossetia in the PMR Vitaly Yankovsky. Vitaly Ignatiev praised the continuation of official contacts between the republic’s Foreign Office and the Official Representation after the break caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and also thanked the South Ossetia`s ambassador for his proactive approach that helps strengthen bilateral cooperation.
The press service of the Foreign Ministry reports that at the meeting the interlocutors discussed a wide range of topical issues related to cooperation between the two friendly republics. Separately, they touched upon some aspects regarding the functioning of the PMR representative offices in Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
Diplomats also paid attention to the joint implementation of a number of projects and initiatives, including the II International Drawing Competition "Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Pridnestrovie: the Heirs of the Great Victory."
At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors confirmed their readiness for further systemic engagement across the entire spectrum of areas of mutual interest.
