Tiraspol, May 21. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovie calls on the Moldovan representatives to “stop shrink its meaningful participation in the dialogue and return to proper work in order to fully implement previously reached agreements for the benefit of people`s interests.” This statement was made by the Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry.
The PMR Foreign Ministry noted that that week the Pridnestrovian side has initiated four meetings of expert (working) groups on customs interaction, telecommunications and postal services, development of transport and road facilities, as well as a subgroup on banking interaction.
Within the framework of the meeting of experts on telecommunications and postal services, it was planned to discuss the most important problem of fulfilling the obligations of the Republic of Moldova according to the Protocol Decision on measures for organizing interaction in the field of telecommunications and electrocommunications of November 25, 2017, as well as joint measures to eliminate harmful interference caused by communication operators of Moldova on the territory of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
A discussion was also expected of road transport specialists on a key issue of driver’s licenses and on the parameters and conditions for resuming the operation of vehicle registration points in Tiraspol and Rybnitsa.
The agenda of the subgroup`s meeting on banking interaction, of which the Moldovan side has been eliminated for more than six months, contains topical issues of lifting the ban that had been imposed on servicing the accounts of Pridnestrovian enterprises in Moldovan banks, terminating the functioning of international bank cards in the territory of Pridnestrovie, as well as establishing cooperation between banking systems of Pridnestrovie and Moldova.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there was not any response of the representative on political issues from the Republic of Moldova to the initiatives aimed at the Moldovan party and all participants of the 5 + 2 format in an official capacity.
“This approach indicates the lack of a constructive working position on the specific issues of the negotiation agenda. Hiding from direct dialogue and avoiding substantive work, Chisinau demonstrates neglect of the current negotiation mechanism, the efforts of international mediators and observers in the 5 + 2 format and the agreements themselves, which are overwhelmingly not executed by Moldova,” the PMR Foreign Ministry noted.
The Ministry added that such an irresponsible approach by Chisinau "was a clear defiance and threat to the existing negotiation structure, which required corresponding reaction from the international participants in the negotiation process."
