Tiraspol, January 22. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. A citizen of the PMR, Andrey Samoniy, has been detained in Balti prison since January 14. This was reported by Newsmaker publication, citing the press service of the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime of the Republic of Moldova.
The report said that the court has issued a warrant for his arrest for 30 days.
The previous day, it was reported that Andrey Samoniy, a former law enforcement officer of the PMR, had been abducted in Moldova. His wife informed about her husband`s disappearance on the Republic of Moldova territory.
According to the woman, on January 14, 2020, her husband and she went to the Senatovka village in Moldova. Three unknown persons approached them and informed Andrey Samoniy that he had been allegedly a witness in a certain criminal case. A PMR citizen was kidnapped and taken away in an undisclosed location.
The PMR Foreign Ministry and the Pridnestrovian Ombudsman Vyacheslav Kosinsky addressed the representatives of Moldova on this issue.
