Freedom of movement problems and politically motivated criminal cases were the main issues of Vitaly Ignatiev Klaus Neukirch’s meeting

Tiraspol, January 14. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Minister of PMR MFA met with the head of the OSCE Mission Claus Neukirch. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Stetsiuk, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

The diplomats summed up some results of the PMR and RM political representatives’ first meeting in 2020 and outlined their own vision regarding current negotiation agenda issues.

Vitaly Ignatiev drew attention to the restrictions on freedom of movement inadmissibility, manifested by means of the ban on crossing Moldovan-Ukrainian state borders for vehicles registered in the PMR. The Minister described this restriction of citizens' rights as a challenge for the Pridnestrovian side, urging mediators to assist in preventing the deterioration of the situation.

The interlocutors also discussed the problem of criminal cases brought against officials of Pridnestrovie and Moldova, the import of various goods in Pridnestrovie, as well as the prospects for cooperation in finding a solution to the problem of bank accounts.
