Tiraspol, December 20./Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Actions of the Moldovan leadership shows a deliberate unwillingness to negotiate with Pridnestrovie. This was stated by the President of the PMR at his press conference, commenting on the negotiation process and current relations with the neighboring state. He recalled that last year brought some stability in this regard – the signing of protocol instructions, the achievement of some agreements. They were fully executed only by the Pridnestrovian side. The 2019, on the contrary, became a year of tension. Political turmoil and the change of power in Moldova immediately affected the state of the negotiation process and its results.
“Everything remained the same on our part -the President, the Government, the Supreme Council, and the negotiators. The situation has changed, certain people have changed, there appeared some roll towards non-fulfilment of the assumed obligations. And the second, there was a desire, in fact, to suspend the negotiation process itself, may even be further destruction of the 5 + 2 format,” the Head of the state believes.
In his opinion, the actions of the Moldovan side with regard to the paragraphs indicated in the Bratislava Protocol can be considered as deliberately underreported and non-constructive. Deliberately Moldova began to include in the negotiation process agenda issues on which it is impossible to reach agreement in principle. For example, a proposal to harmonize the tax systems of both banks.
“The protocol was discussed in Bratislava, after which I met with the president there were no additional questions… And suddenly in Bavaria, the Moldovan side includes in the protocol the so-called tax issue, i.e. harmonization of tax systems of Pridnestrovie and Moldova. This is, largely, a political provocation, we have had our own tax system for 30 years, and we work according to our own rules, laws and Constitution. Moldova has its own tax system. These are different tax systems. And it is impossible to harmonize them without destroying it,” Vadim Krasnoselsky said.
Another example is the situation with the quarry in the Dubossary district. No less eloquent is the failure of the Moldovan side to fulfil its previous obligations – to terminate criminal cases against Pridnestrovian citizens, to ensure the free movement of Pridnestrovian cars through the territory of Moldova, etc.
«Sometimes I listen to Moldovan politicians… Here Mrs Vlah tries to give advice to Pridnestrovie… She speaks about the success story… Allegedly there is a success story between Pridnestrovie and Gagauzia, Pridnestrovie and Moldova. There is no story of success, there is a story of expectation and hope, and I do not want it to become a story of disappointment, but everything is going for it. Today I hear only one promise – on the elimination of problems with accounts of Pridnestrovian enterprises, on non-creation of problems at Moldo-Ukrainian posts on the border, on import of medicines, etc.», - the President of the PMR said.
He stressed that Pridnestrovie expects concrete results from the negotiation process – in the form of long-standing issues solution.
