Funds for the purchase of foreign cow’s breeds will be allocated from Business Development Fund in 2020

In addition, next year the practice of subsidizing milk producers will continue

Tiraspol, December 9. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The development of the dairy livestock industry was discussed today in the Government, the press service of the Government reported.

Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economic Development Sergei Obolonik reminded that for the second year in a row milk producers has been subsidized at the expense of the budget. In 2018, they were paid 50 coins for 1 kg of products, in 2019 – 1 ruble. Next year, this measure will remain the same as in the current one.

In addition, in 2020 Business Development Fund will allocate funding for the purchase of foreign cows breeds. These measures will help to support the growth of milk production.

According to Sergei Obolonik, the agricultural sphere has revised priority positions for issuing long and cheap loans. For example, cash resources for livestock and vegetable projects where the payback period is longer are planned to be provided for a longer period.

The final edition of the changes will be presented at the next meeting of the Government.

The development of poultry farming and reclamation network was also discussed at the meeting.

As Prime Minister Alexander Martynov noted, agriculture is important for the economy of the republic industry, where a large number of businessman are employed. For them, there are various benefits and credit programs. As a result, it is possible to maintain a balance of interests: agribusiness is gaining momentum, revenues to the republican treasury are growing, food security of the country is ensured.

“The most important thing now is not to take the situation off control and understand what is going on. Agricultural business involves certain risks, including climatic ones. Therefore, despite the positive growth, it is necessary to respond in time to the challenges the agriculture of the republic faced with, and, of course, to provide all necessary assistance from the state to ensure that we do not slow down,” Alexander Martynov said.
