Tiraspol, November 22. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Russian State Duma will hold parliamentary hearings on Pridnestrovie. During the meeting, the issues related to the simplified mechanism of obtaining Russian citizenship by the residents of Pridnestrovie, the use of the Maternal Capital on the territory of the republic, the possibility of providing material, technical and humanitarian assistance to the PMR both to support compatriots and the economy of Pridnestrovie were discussed.
It should be reminded that the delegation of the Supreme Council headed by the Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Korshunov has visited the capital of the Russian Federation earlier this week. The Head of the Supreme Council, as well as deputies Peter Pasat and Sergei Cheban took part in the The Role of Interaction between Factions of Political Parties and Blocs in Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation of the CIS Countries International Conference. Alexander Korshunov made a speech there. He spoke about the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation and harmonization of Pridnestrovian and Russian legislation.
Pridnestrovian parliamentarians held meetings with representatives of various parties, factions and Duma committees. They discussed cultural and humanitarian cooperation, prospects of expert support of draft laws related to social protection and support of compatriots, acquisition of Russian citizenship, medical policy, support of industry and agriculture of the republic.
In addition, an agreement on the opening of the Double-headed Eagle regional representation of the All-Russian Patriotic Movement in Pridnestrovie was reached. They also agreed on the exchange of delegations and on the implementation of joint projects in Pridnestrovie and Russia related to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory, the parliamentary press service reports.
Pridnestrovian parliamentarians and their Russian colleagues, who were elected in districts, including Pridnestrovie, agreed to prepare a targeted program of joint cooperation in the areas related to supporting of the republic for economic recovery, agricultural sector, assistance to pensioners.
All deputies elected to the State Duma from Pridnestrovie always speak with a consolidated position on the support of compatriots and the republic as a whole. In this regard, the possibility of organizing a joint meeting on all these issues with Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak, who oversees the Pridnestrovian direction in Russia, is being worked out, the press service of the Supreme Council notes.
Pridnestrovian parliamentarians also visited the Moscow City Duma. With the leadership of the Duma, they discussed the expansion of cooperation between the two parliaments, cooperation with prefectures of Moscow through deputy districts, with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moscow. The possibility of the organization an exhibition and a round table on Pridnestrovian topics in the Moscow City Council was also discussed.
In the Representative Office of the Supreme Council of the PMR in Moscow the deputies met with the Pridnestrovians living in Russia, communicated with youth and students from Pridnestrovie.
