The Future is yours - Vadim Krasnoselsky talked to the young people at the forum

There were discussed a lot of topics. Ranging from the economy and foreign policy to the tourism development and the younger generation support

Tiraspol, October 10. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. One of today's sections of the investment forum was focused on youth. The speaker was President Vadim Krasnoselsky, and the participants were young people. Among the guests were representatives of youth organizations from Russia, Cyprus, Tajikistan, and Bulgaria.

The conversation turned out to be multilateral. The “gas issue” was the first topic. Young people asked about prices increase and gas in Pridnestrovie. The head of state reminded that the solution to that problem was within the purview of only two people - the presidents of Russia and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky. As for the social benefits that are provided in a number of categories in the republic, they are paid for at the expense of the money that Pridnestrovie receives for the transit of Russian gas.

“No one gives out Russian gas for free. We earn it, and it is our right to spend this money,” Vadim Krasnoselsky said.

In continuation of the topic, they asked what the head of the Pridnestrovian state had been talking about at a recent meeting with Russian Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu. The President replied: about the rotation of military personnel in the Peacekeeping Forces, their provision, on the storage of ammunition in Kolbasnoe village. Political topics were not affected.

The representative of the Youth Parliament at the State Duma of the Russian Federation inquired about how young leaders of public organizations cooperated with the Government in Pridnestrovie and if there was a youth parliament. There is a parliament, and it would be good to create a government, the head of state replied.

The delegate from Cyprus asked if our state was going to become a member of the European Union. Vadim Krasnoselsky reminded that the residents of the republic have long decided on the direction of development, having vote for independence and accession to Russia in the referendum in 2006. The choice of the pro-Russian vector is not accidental, our country is associated with this country by a common history, culture, territory, mentality and, importantly, multinationality.

The guest from Bulgaria, representing the International Organization for the Preservation of Peace, was interested in what Pridnestrovie was doing to preserve peace. Vadim Krasnoselsky reminded about the events of 1992 and emphasized that our republic, like no other, knew the price of peace.

“We have achieved peace through suffering, and we will not lose it,” he said.

The forum participants also touched on economic topics, in particular, what our republic would be able to offer the world market in the next 5-10 years. The President noted: Pridnestrovie is already present at it. We work with 92 countries (including non-CIS countries). The range of goods is very wide - from electricity and metals to agricultural products. At the same time, investments of foreign firms and companies in the economy of the republic have been growing for two years in a row. This suggests that investors are not afraid to invest in local production.

We talked about the prospects of tourism, in particular rural and health. The head of state reminded that the development of this industry (especially rural and ethnic tourism) was one of the priority areas. For these purposes, the state gives firms and citizens long, cheap loans.

“Now, the 2-volume “Golden Collection of the Best Places of Pridnestrovie” is being issued, which includes our monuments, cultural sites, hotels, restaurants, beautiful natural places. Based on it, we will create passports of the Pridnestrovian tourist. They will be at every customs post so that anyone who comes to us can get an idea of the tourist routes of the republic,” Vadim Krasnoselsky said.

During the meeting, they also talked about the re-emigration of Pridnestrovians. The question was asked by the representative of Tajikistan.

The head of state reminded that for the first time in many years, a program was launched in the republic to provide citizens (primarily state employees) with affordable housing. A high-quality education system is also operating in Pridnestrovie, from pre-school institutions to universities. The President emphasized that a lot of things were being done to support young people, and expressed hope that this would help young people to never hesitate choosing their native state.
