Bendery, October, 7. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The preparation of the capital for the City Day was discussed at the conference call of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselski with state administrations heads.
The head of state press service reported that in the near future, Tiraspol residents were laying the foundation stone at the baseline of the future monument to Catherine the Great. The event will be held on October 14.
Also, the President enquired the head of the metropolitan state administration about the progress in the construction and equipping of a wooden church, erected in the name of the new martyrs and confessors, as well as the museum of victims of political repression. They will be part of the memorial complex laid down a year ago at the site of the mass execution of citizens. The opening of the church and museum is scheduled for October 30.
Also on this day there will be a funeral ceremony for the reburial of the exhumed remains of the dead.
Visiting conference is planned for October 15, during which the readiness of the facilities for opening will be evaluated. The President noted that special attention should be paid to the improvement of the territory adjacent to the complex.
Also, Vadim Krasnoselski instructed the heads of cities and regions to prepare questions for inclusion in the agenda of an expanded meeting with the leadership of the Government, which will be held in the Presidential Administration of the PMR. In addition, the President aimed the city administrators to actively participate in the work on the draft budget 2020.
