The PMR Minister of Foreign Affairs met the Pope's representative

During communication, the perspective directions of cultural and humanitarian cooperation were mentioned

Tiraspol, September 20. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Foreign Ministry hosted the meeting of the PMR Minister of Foreign Affairs  Vitaly Ignatiev with the Spanish prelate of the Catholic Church who has spent his career in the Holy See diplomatic service, the  Apostolic Nuncio to Moldova Miguel Maury Buendía.

Vitaly Ignatiev highly appreciated the developed interaction level between Pridnestrovie and the Roman Catholic Church. «There are many topical issues which demand our discussion and participation. The leadership of Pridnestrovie aspires to that any ethnic and religious communities felt harmoniously in our poly national society. The Catholic faith historically is one of traditional for Pridnestrovie, and we are grateful for that positive impact which the Roman Catholic Church has», – the PMR Foreign Minister the noted.

During the meeting, Vitaly Ignatiev told about some aspects of the current relationship between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova with emphasis on topical problematic issues in the dialogue of the parties. Also within communication, the perspective directions of cultural and humanitarian cooperation with the Roman Catholic Church were mentioned, the Press Service of the Foreign Ministry reports.
