Moldovan-Russian intergovernmental commission reported about restrictions regarding the PMR

Pridnestrovian delegation proposed to consider the list of problematic issues faced by Pridnestrovie

Tiraspol, September, 19. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. At the meeting of the Moldovan-Russian intergovernmental commission, the Pridnestrovian delegation reported on the restrictions that Pridnestrovie was facing.

“We have identified a set of problematic issues faced by economic agents, the population of Pridnestrovie, the republic as a whole,” Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development Sergey Obolonik told media representatives.

Among them are banking issues, problems of joint Moldovan-Ukrainian control at the Kuchurgan checkpoint, import of medicines and phytosanitary products into the territory of Pridnestrovie, railway communication, import of excisable goods.

“When transferring questions, the co-chair of the commission from the Russian Federation supported us, expressed his position on the need to take into account our opinion. And this support plays a significant role in the preparation and resolution of these issues,” Obolonik said.

According to Ambassador-at-Large of the Foreign Affairs Russian Ministry Sergey Gubarev, Pridnestrovie will receive close attention during the the intergovernmental commission work. 

“The opinion of the Pridnestrovian delegation will be heard, taken into account and implemented as much as possible in the current conditions,” Gubarev said.

The Moldovan-Russian intergovernmental commission began its work in Chisinau. The Russian delegation is led by Russian Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev. The Pridnestrovian delegation was invited as an observer. It included: Minister of Economic Development Sergey Obolonik, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ruslan Slobodenyuk, First Deputy Chairman of the PRB Alexei Melnik.
