Tiraspol, August, 27. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The State Media Service reports that the Bendery printing house Polygraphist has published the historical and literary essay “Bridges Connecting the Banks” under the general editorship of Colonel-General Nikolai Serdtsev to mark the 75th anniversary of the Iasi-Chisinau operation.
The book tells about the formation, the military route and the people who took their place in the history of the Rimnic Red Banner Orders of Suvorov, Kutuzov and Bogdan Khmelnitsky 2 pontoon bridge brigade, subsequently reorganized into 62 pontoon bridge regiment, 240 pontoon bridge brigade, 97 separate pontoon bridge brigade bridge battalion.
When creating the book, the authors used historical facts, testimonies of participants in events, archival documents and memoirs of military personnel of different generations.
The publication is decorated in hardcover with glossy pages and contains a large number of colorful illustrations.
