Tiraspol, August 16. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. At the Art Gallery of the Tiraspol Joint Museum the exhibition of Valery Lipsky «River of Life» is opened. More than 80 pictures differ in the versatility of figurative decisions, a wide range of styles and genres are presented to expositions. Trends of the experimental painting are inherent in Valery Lipsky's pictures.
He began to paint 6 years ago. The master has no art education, Valery Lipsky is engineer-economist.
«I was engaged in woodcarving earlier and made a wooden clock with a big clock face. It seemed empty, so I began to represent some lakes, swans. Then I understood that I liked to paint pictures more», – the artist told.
The inspiration to Valery Lipsky got generally of books: in its library, it is more than 8 thousand volumes. Besides, he finds images for pictures looking at surrounding people. He spent about 2–3 days painting one picture.
«I paint pictures which force people to think of something, generate some new thoughts», – the master shared.
The artist works in seven different directions but is drawn towards surrealism. An interesting mix of styles is traced in the picture «Enlightenment» where, according to the author, «abstraction is combined with the classical painting».
In the presented exposition there are a lot of pictures where cats are represented. Practically all of them are fluffy and with big eyes, joyful and benevolent. The master is sure they have «typical characters».
«This is a typical animal: it is possible to transfer his mood and character by a pose, eyes. With people it is more difficult», – the author shared.
The surreal series «Morning Dreams» consisting of three works were exposed in the Art Gallery for several times. «The third picture is the most interesting in this series. It is called «Bride». Here the cat is a soft current of time we do not notice», – Valery Lipsky told. The artist notes that the bride is 85 years old, «but she still got it».
All pictures of Valery Lipsky are live and bright. It is possible to find familiar and pleasant images in each of them. Many works are devoted to love.
Valery Lipsky exhibition «River of Life» is the fourth at the Art Gallery of the Tiraspol Joint Museum. All residents and guests of the capital can enjoy live and bright pictures till 16th September.
