Tiraspol, June, 6. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Investment Agency of the PMR and the Council for the Development of Foreign Trade and International Economic Relations of the Russian Federation signed an agreement on the opening of the Russian Trade Project. The document was signed by heads of organizations Andrei Betanov and Maksim Chereshnev at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum site.
The Russian Trade Project will be operating in Moscow. Its goal is to help promote Pridnestrovian producers in the Russian market.
Maxim Chereshnev, chairman of the CDFT board of directors, spoke about the prospects for cooperation with Pridnestrovie.
“The Council for the Development of Foreign Trade not only brings Russian companies to foreign markets, but also facilitates the entry of foreign companies into our market ... We expect this activity to positively affect the possibilities of Pridnestrovian companies to localize themselves in Russia,” he said.
As our news agency has learned, the representative delegation of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, headed by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the PMR, Minister of Economic Development Sergei Obolonik, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovie Alexander Korshunov, and Director of the Investment Agency Andrei Betanov, is participating in SPIEF – 2019 at the invitation of the Russian side.
The forum program includes visits to thematic sessions, expert round tables, panel discussions under the guidance of leading Russian experts in various fields of economics and science.
Pridnestrovians have also been invited to the sites of leading Russian corporations located in Moscow and the Moscow Region, Voronezh, Belgorod and other regions of Russia.
The plans of our delegation are to discuss with Russian colleagues the tools and mechanisms of cooperation, present the new investment legislation of the PMR and sign a number of contracts for the implementation of investment projects.
The first day of SPIEF-2019 began in St. Petersburg. This year the forum’s guests will be the investors who manage one fifth of the world's assets, which is 15 trillion dollars. They intend to discuss with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin the possibilities of their participation, including in the implementation of national projects.
We are talking about various areas of possible cooperation: innovation, medicine, future technologies, and even landfill recultivation and environmental protection.
A total of 170 business program events will be held during the forum. All of them are united with the slogan “Forming the agenda of sustainable development”.
