The head of Kamenka administration and parliamentarians representing the interests of the district residents in the Supreme Council in the course of the meeting spoke about plans for the reconstruction of the central park named after the founder of Kamenka Peter Wittgenstein. This object has not only cultural and architectural, but also historical significance, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized, noting that he supports such undertakings.
Founded in 1819 as a garden, the park soon acquired public status. It was not only popular among local population, but attracted numerous visitors to the city who had heard about park ponds and rotunds. To revive the park, once again making it the pearl of the north of Transnistria, this is the challenge that leadership of the district face. The Head of Kamenka presented to the attention of the President the available design developments. Ideas and suggestions are visualized, that allows with a high degree of accuracy to present the result of the realization of creative ideas. Vadim Krasnoselsky showed options for projects of the entrance group, gazebos, rotundas. They said that both existing entrances to the park should be put in order. An important design element is informational: it is necessary to indicate the name of the object, to tell whose name has been assigned. Attentions require fencing and paths. The summer stage needs to be updated. The scene is in good condition, but the spectator benches must be replaced, said Vladimir Bychkov. In addition, residents of Kamenka expect that in the future a light overhang will appear over the stage, which in the future will not allow bad weather to disrupt events. Placement of children's and sports grounds, as well as the restoration of a network of attractions is considered. At one time there were six – three for children and three for adults, and they all enjoyed great demand from visitors. Proposals related to the placement of catering facilities are considered.
The meeting participants carefully studied all the proposals, discussed the pros and cons of various projects, outlined implementation plans. They focused on the topic of financing, noting that such undertakings require not only local and state participation, but also investment. “The recreation park is not only socially significant object, but also economically reasonable project. Improvement, development of infrastructure, attraction of tourists, preservation of history - restoration of the park named after Wittgenstein is directly related to all this. Serious work is ahead. We need a creative and at the same time economical approach”, the President noted, highly appreciating activity of the district leadership in solving this issue.
