Tiraspol, April, 15. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Commemorative one ruble banknotes have been issued since April 12, to mark the 75th anniversary of Pridnestrovian liberation from the Nazi invaders. Their circulation is 1,500 pieces, according to the website of the Pridnestrovian Republican Bank.
The design and format of the current banknote is similar to one of 2012, but with only one difference: there are a star, a laurel branch and spreading out ribbons in the colors of the PMR flag and St. George ribbon in the right field, at the side of the special marking. Also under the emblem there are dates "1944-2019" depicted.
On the territory of the republic, commemorative banknotes are legal means of circulation and payment.
