Tiraspol, April, 9. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The presentation of the publication Political And Legal Framework for the Recognition of Pridnestrovian Moldova Republic`s Independence was held today at the PMR Official Representation in Moscow.
The press service of the Pridnestrovian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports that the head of the department Vitaly Ignatiev, Ambassador-at-large at the rank of Deputy Foreign Minister of the Pridnestrovian Republic Ruslan Slobodenyuk, head of the Pridnestrovian official representative office in the Russian Federation Leonid Manakov took part in the event. Among the guests of the presentation there were also President of the International Slavic Academy of Science, Education, Arts and Culture Sergey Baburin, President of the Guild of Russian Lawyers Hasan Mirzoev, President of the Russian Academy of Lawyers and Notaries Gennady Cheremnykh. Diplomatic representatives of the Republic of Abkhazia, the Republic of South Ossetia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, as well as Russian experts and lawyers, were guests of honor.
“Political and legal foundations of the international recognition of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic`s independence” is a scientific and informational publication prepared on the basis of the same-name international round table held in the Russian Federation Federal Chamber of Lawyers on November 21, 2017. The book summarizes the reports, opinions and expert evaluations voiced during the round table, as well as the speeches of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic`s leadership. Separately, the publication contains a number of scientific works on the issue of international recognition of the Pridnestrovie`s independence.
In an interview with reporters following the meeting, Vitaly Ignatiev noted that during the discussion at the Official Representation site, the participants discussed in detail practical steps aimed at strengthening Pridnestrovian international positions both in relations with the Russian Federation and on the world stage.
“The main purpose of the presentation was to show the result of the work carried out by Pridnestrovie in the field of achieving wide international recognition. This is an applied publication, as it contains answers to many questions that concern the legal basis for the independence of Pridnestrovie and are very important in polemics with representatives of other states,” the head of the Foreign Service stressed.
According to the diplomat, "a strong team of friends of Pridnestrovie, which consists of political scientists, experts, international lawyers and attorneys, has been formed in Russia in recent years."
“The guests of the presentation highly appreciated the work that had been prepared, and expressed the wish to continue to work together,” Vitaly Ignatiev concluded.
