Tiraspol, March, 18. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. From March 13 to March 16 there took place youthful U-16 the boxing championship of Moldova. Pupils from four Pridnestrovian cities – Tiraspol, Bendery, Rybnitsa and Dubossary took part in it.
Tiraspol athletes won most of all gold medals. Four boxers became the strongest in the weight categories – Danil Okoman (52 kg), Janusz Karavan (54 kg), Maxim Ivashchenko (66 kg) and Dmitry Baban (over 80 kg). Vladislav Garkavenko (48 kg) and Alexander Zolotarev became owners of bronze medals, it is reported on the website of the Civil Service on Sport.
The Rybnitsa team was the most numerous – there were 13 athletes. In weight up to 80 kg, Nikolay Burdyuzha who became the champion confirmed the high class. Vlad Glazkov (over 80 kg) and Evgeny Tikhovsky (50 kg) conceded to the opponents only in the final matches. On the third place Bogdan Olshansky (44 kg), Pavel Gudz (60 kg), Maxim Stasy (66 kg) and Danil Bessmertny (63 kg) finished competitions.
Citizens of Bendery won for a medal of each advantage. Mikhail Tsaranu became the strongest in weight category up to 48 kg. The silver award was received by Ivan Kozhukhar (57 kg), and Victor Serbov (46 kg) became the owner of the bronze medal.
Dubasari delegated on the championship only four boxers. Nevertheless, Vladimir Hlebanovsky won a victory in weight category to 44 kg, having brought to the native sports school a gold medal.
Let's note that winners of the championship in the weight categories acquired the right to act on youthful U-16 the European Boxing Championship. It will take place at the end of May in the Romanian city of Galatz.
