Tiraspol, March, 17. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Tiraspol football club Sheriff started a new Moldova Championship in the National Division with a victory. Goran Sablich's team beat Speranza SFC from Nisporeni with a score of 1:0.
Pridnestrovians were ahead from the first minute of the game. However, despite the large number of poignant moments, the only goal occurred in the very end of the game. It was scored by the Ukrainian Andrei Bliznichenko, who sent the ball into the top corner on the 82nd minute.
“I want to congratulate the team on the victory. It was very important for us in the first game of the championship. Emotionally, it was a tough game. It is a pity that they did not score earlier. All players showed their character. They were pressuring during the whole game and in the end they scored and won,” head coach of Sheriff FC Goran Sablic commented on the game.
After a couple of days, Tiraspol team will start preparing for the game against Zimbru. Chisinau players will be met on Sheriff IC arena on March 29.
