Rybnitsa, March, 11. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The photo exhibition XXIX World Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk was opened in the Rybnitsa branch of the PSU. The event was held at the initiative of the state administration of Rybnitsa and with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo.
The press service of the local state administration reports that the exposition was visited by the deputy head of the district Yuri Moldovski, the representative of the Russian Center for Science and Culture Nikolai Zhuravlev, students and guests of the event.
As the organizers noted, the photo exhibition had been organized primarily for the students to feel their involvement in a large-scale event that takes place in Krasnoyarsk.
According to Nikolai Zhuravlev, such exhibitions help young people in different countries of the world to feel part of one big student movement.
“Students like you, who are passionate about sports, take part in the Universiade. They gathered all together to test themselves in sports competitions and compete for sets of awards,” the representative of Rossotrudnichestvo said.
Speaking of awards: today Russia has updated the Universiade record. Russian students won 39 gold medals. That has never happened before in the history of the Universiade, which indicates a great future for the country in terms of developing sports and improving its sporting achievements.
The originality of the exhibits was emphasized by the deputy head Yuri Moldovsky. “Sport unites. All the events that are now taking place in Krasnoyarsk are youth Olympic games in their scale — goodwill games that show the full potential of sports potential, and I think that it will be interesting for the people from Rybnitsa. In addition, residents of the northern capital will be able to appreciate the beauty of the region and discover Siberia in a new way,” the Deputy Mayor said.
Another plus point of the exhibition was indicated by the branch director, Igor Pavlinov. According to him, design students can be inspired by ideas and realize in their hometown what they saw.

XXIX World Winter Universiade started in Krasnoyarsk on March 2. About 3 thousand people from more than 50 countries of the world take part in it. Participants will compete for 76 sets of awards in 11 sports: biathlon, curling, alpine skiing, snowboarding, short track, skiing, figure skating, ice hockey, hockey, freestyle and orienteering on skis. Universiade will last until March 12.
