Dubossary, March, 3. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Anna Odobesku will perform Moldova on the Eurovision – 2019. The singer is from Dubossary, she started her musical career in Pridnestrovie.
43 participants fought for a victory. 10 vocalists got to the final which took place in the evening on March 2. Anna Odobesku gained the greatest number of points from the professional jury with the song «Stay».
In Tel Aviv, she should perform on May 16 in the second semi-final. In the same day, singers from 17 countries will also do their best. The final of the competition will take place on May 18, the press service of the Dubossary State Administration reports.
Anna Odobesku was born in Dubossary in 1991. Here she studied in the pop song band «Obiknovennoe Chudo» («Ordinary Miracle») and also at the G. Murgu Music School. She continued further education in the Rubenstein Musical College (Tiraspol) and Academies of Music, Theater and the Fine Arts (Chisinau).
Anna is known as the owner of the Grand Prix of the competition of young pop singers Otkritie-2007; the owner of the second place at the International Festival of Arts «Slavic Bazaar – 2016».
Last year the DoReDos band from Rybnitsa went to the Eurovision. They represented Moldova and entered in the top-10 of the competition. In the 2017th the second prize on the Eurovision was taken by the SunStroke Project band which two participants are also Pridnestrovie natives.
