Tiraspol, February, 20. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Last year the state media made a big step forward on promoting of Pridnestrovie abroad, however, journalists should strengthen work on the formation of an image of the republic. The President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky said about it at a meeting of the board of the State Service for Mass Media.
The Head of the state urged journalists to pay more attention to the stories of the Pridnestrovian people. According to him, in media, there have to be more stories about people of labour specialities who work in all activity spheres of the republic.
«You should speak about doctors, employees of militia, military personnel, frontier guards and so on. Especially you should pay attention to family, clan labour dynasties. Popularize it, it is very important. Show the people of labour specialities in Pridnestrovie as much as possible», - Vadim Krasnoselsky said.
The President paid attention to the importance of publicizing of activity of on-stage performance groups of the republic, as the actors represent our republic worldwide.
«I ask our radio to pay attention to our talents. We have a mass of music of different musical genres. Show more our performers on television and on the radio. I assure you, many people even in the republic do not know about the number of talents and they will be surprised «, - Vadim Krasnoselsky noted.
He also asked the journalists not to forget about promoting of the Pridnestrovian culture, traditions and language. The President considers important to tell about all nationalities living in the republic, not just about the largest – Russians, Ukrainians and Moldavians.
Speaking about history, Vadim Krasnoselsky supported creation in the Republic of the museums, the addition of new books and grants, holding seminars on the history of our land.
«We have a thousand-year history, both Scythians, and Celts, and the Stone Age, and a modern era. It is very interesting, and all this should be made available to people regardless of political views. It is what Pridnestrovie will attract people beyond the borders. More historical programs, both on the radio, and on television are necessary», - the President considers.
