Tiraspol, February, 11. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Political stability, the implementation of the national idea, which is to strengthen the independence of the PMR, the desire for international recognition and the implementation of the results of the 2006 referendum are the main goal and principles of the Pridnestrovian state development. The President Vadim Krasnoselski emphasized during the expanded reporting board of the Foreign Ministry that those ideas were enshrined in the Pridnestrovian Development Strategy for 8 years, and are key to the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Strategy also defines the relations of our state with Ukraine, the European Union, Moldova and the Russian Federation as a strategic partner.
Vadim Krasnoselski reminded that at the end of January the Official Representative Office of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic had been opened in the capital of the Russian Federation - the city of Moscow. Similar institutions should appear in the capitals of Ukraine (the negotiation process guarantor) and the European Union (an observer in the “5 + 2” format).
“It is very important that the citizens of Pridnestrovie living in Russia can address this institution. Not to mention the relations in the cultural, humanitarian and economic spheres between Pridnestrovie and Russia. Nevertheless, we are aimed at building good and neighborly cultural, humanitarian and trade-economic relations with Ukraine and the European Union. Therefore, it would be appropriate to assign the task to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to open a representative office both in Kiev and in Brussels” - the President addressed the head of the Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry.
The head of state expressed his conviction that “we could achieve a lot in that direction”.
