Tiraspol, February, 6. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The deputy Alexander Korshunov is elected the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the PMR. All members of the deputy corps voted for it at the regular plenary meeting today, on February 6.
The Speaker of the Parliament thanked for support and trust. He also reported that the Supreme Council as one of the basic platforms of decision-making will focus on the implementation of the Pridnestrovian Development Strategy 2019-2026 offered by the President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky in December 2018.
"For the development of the economic capacity of the republic and the welfare of our citizen's increase, it is necessary to make the weighed and right decisions. I consider that the consolidated work of the supreme authorities, local government bodies, civil society is really important. Only together we will be able to solve the problems we face", - Alexander Korshunov told.
Earlier Alexander Korshunov headed Parliamentary Committee on Economic policy, the Budget and Finance. Instead of him, this position will be held by the deputy Oleg Facility.
Alexander Korshunov was elected in the supreme body of the legislature from constituency No. 1 "Solnechny", Bendery.
He was born on April 2, 1968, in Bălți (MSSR) in a family of workers. In 1974 the family moved to Bendery.
In 1985 after the graduation of the Bendery High School No. 1 entered the Kharkiv aviation institute from which graduated in 1991 (honours degree) as "A design engineer-technologist of the radio-electronic equipment".
After the graduation of the institute in 1991, he was employed to the RRL TUSM-5 as the engineer of the radio relay station.
From 1992 to 1996 served in Bendery law-enforcement bodies in the lieutenant's rank.
In 1996 he was employed as the software engineer in LLC Ptitsa.
In 1999 entered the Belgorod University of Consumer Cooperation (Russia) which graduated in 2002 with the specialisation "Law".
In 2002 he was appointed the lawyer of LLC Ptitsa, since May 2005 became its head. In June 2011 graduated from the Belgorod State University of the Russian Federation majoring in "The public and municipal administration".
Deputy of the Bendery City Council of People's Deputies of XXIII and XXIV convocations. Chairman of Constant Deputy Commission for Industry, architecture, municipal property and land resources. On December 12, 2010, he was elected the Deputy of the Supreme Council of the V convocation.
